SecurITree is Faster
In theory, capabilities-based attack tree analysis is possible without any tool at all. The attack trees can be drawn manually using pen and paper or electronic drawing tools such as Visio® or CorelDraw®. Unfortunately, performing manual capabilties-based analysis is awkward, tedious, error prone and slow.
For example, SecurITree quickly scans through an attack tree model identifying ways in which attacks can occur. Hundreds, or even thousands of attacks may be indentified in just a few seconds. Elimination of attacks beyond an adversary's capabilties is similarly swift. Activities that would take hours in manual tools are almost instantaneous with SecurITree.
SecurITree's speed allows you to explore the ramifications of your assumptions. For example, if you would like to see the effect if the adversary has more financial resources, edit the threat agent's profile and re-apply. The revised answer appears in a matter of moments.
Quite simply, SecurITree's speed allows you to try "what-if" thought experiments that you would never even attempt without a sophisticated tool. In this case, faster really is better!
